Did Your Ancestors Live in Hudson?

If your ancestors settled in Hudson, Ohio no later than 1840, you may be eligible to join "First Families of Hudson."

It is a prestigious organization composed of those people who had ancestors settling in the city of Hudson, Ohio prior to the year 1840.

You must be able to document that your ancestors settled or lived in Hudson, Ohio prior to the year 1840.

You must furnish evidence that shows that you are related to that ancestor. For example, you need to state your full name and address, your telephone number, your email address, your father's name, where (city, county, state) you were born, and the date of your birth. Similar information is required for your mother. Additionally, provide similar information for your grandparents, etc., back as many generations as required to show the relationship to the Hudson ancestor. Photocopies, photographs, or other facsimile copy of pertinent documents along with the related references (volume, page no., etc.) are required to accompany the application.

The Hudson Genealogical Study Group, a chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society, can assist in explaining the requirements and providing guidelines to complete the application, as well as how and where you can obtain the required documentation.
